⚠️ Civilian Casualties

Independent monitoring organizations estimate that 424969 civilians were killed by US drone strikes in Pakistan, including 172207 children. An additional 1,1621,749 people were injured. Official US government figures are consistently lower than independent estimates.

📝 Notes

Pakistan drone campaign was the most intense and controversial. CIA-operated Predator and Reaper drones struck targets primarily in FATA (Federally Administered Tribal Areas). The program was never officially acknowledged by the US until 2012.

🔥 Controversies

Double-tap strikes (hitting rescue workers), signature strikes (targeting behavior patterns not individuals), killing of US citizen Anwar al-Awlaki's 16-year-old son Abdulrahman.
